Challenge

LAUGFS Terminals Limited operates one of the largest Oil and Gas terminals in South East Asia and was aiming to trade 30,000 MT’s in the next 12 months. However, to do so the organization needed a centralized ERP focused on streamlining and digitalizing best practice oil and gas processes. An amalgamation of key functional areas was required so that the organization could run simple as well as transparently.

Solution

We implemented an end-to-end full ERP Cycle of SAP with the inclusion of modules such as Finance, Material Management, Sales and Distribution, Production Planning and Plant Maintenance. The implementation also included a comprehensive integration to the Terminal Management System (TMS) where direct operational control of the Terminal resided (valve opening & closing…. etc.)

With the proper implementation of SAP for Terminals, the organization was able to optimize their entire operation as most of the manual tasks of running the terminal were removed. Initially the organization envisioned that 60 full time staff members would be required post-implementation. However, with the proper implementation of SAP and its integration to the TMS the organization found it could manage with 13 dedicated staff instead of the 60 envisioned at the start. We were also able to integrate with the Gas down streaming operation as well as the gas purchasing operation in Dubai to provide even further transparency to the operation of the terminal.
